I have been a JVC fan for years I bought my last JVC product I will every buy a JVC MG335. I bought this camera about a year ago and with all the problems I have had with the POOR Cyberlink software that comes with it did not use it much. I have had more time on my hand lately so I started playing around with it again. After MANY emails to customer service with JVC and Cyberlink I have found out they are not much help if any!!!!!!!! Basically JVS just blow me off. Cybelink set me s link to other software then what came with the camera but it is not much better if any. I get errors all the time and I have tried it on two different computers with the same operating system XP Pro and get the exact same errors.

I understand about JVC format and was wondering what is a GOOD software that will work with this camera that I will be able to change the format so I do not have to use the VERY POOR Cyberlink software to play it back. Right now I can play it with other software like Windows Media Player and others but do not have any sound. The only way I can play it back and have sound is to use the POOR Cyblerlink software.

I want to be able to burn DVDs so I can give them to friends and family and they will be able to play them and have sound with out having to use Cyberlink software to do it.
Thanks

I have a JVC Everio (GZ-MG155U) hard disk (miniature sized) camcorder that has excellent SD video quality and a bunch of other useful features, only that it has no microphone input. My dad has engineering experience and maybe able to fix this. All we're trying to do tap into the camera's internal microphone wiring and add an RCA jack without dissassembling the entire thing.

Does anyone know of any articles on how to do this with my camcorder, or any tips on getting to the onboard microphone without tearing everything apart?

I would like to know if my camera does this digitally with a quality loss, or does it use some type of mechanical stabalizer?

I can't seem to find any information on the Internet of how I can do this with my camcorder. I'm beginning to think it's not possible with my model. Could some one please give me any information they have about this, it would be grestly appreciated. Thanks.  P.s. I have the cord that came with the Camcorder, that allows you to plug into the A/V of the camcorder into the composite input to a T.v . Can it be reversed? I think that's what I'm trying to do.

Hi everyone. I am new here and seeking some help.

I have a JVC Everio GZ-MG37AA 30Gb HDD Camcorder. (video files are .MOD) No problems editing once they are re-named with .Mpeg

Will be going on a month long vacation in September and to alleviate the possibility of using up the HDD before the trip ends I purchased a JVC Everio Share Station CU-VD3 with a view to burning video files to DVD every few days.

Problem is the share station only burns a full movie of all the files that I wish to copy. When I place the burnt DVD into my PC it's a full movie that auto plays in Windows Media Center.

The burning options I get from the cam are "All", "Event" and "Date"......

So when I explore the disc on my PC after burning by date, all videos within a date become 1 file with the extension .VOB which are not recognised by my video editing software. I use Ulead Video Studio 11. Have also tried them with no luck in Adobe Premiere.

I have also tried renaming the files to .Mpg/Mpeg. And whilst the files then become recognisable they are unuseable as they stutter and dont play properly.

So my questions are this:

1. Is there anything I can do to make these .VOB files editable and

2. If not is there another storage option for our holiday. Dragging a laptop around is not something we want to do as we have a number of flights with severe luggage limitations.

Hope I have explained this well enough

Thanks heaps
Col

Hello, I am panicking indeed, since my HDD-Camera (JVC Everio GZ-MG140) is not recognized by Pinnacle, or any other program that I've tried for that matter...
When I connect the USB-cable, Windows identifies it as being a USB Mass Storage, and I can easily access it as one, it is when trying to enter the Capture Feature of a program, that it fails to comply, giving messages as "No Input" etc.

Would anyone happen to know what could be wrong? And if so, what I can do about the problem. (I really need this to work, in order to make a stopmotion movie)

//Cheers, and hopefully thanks in advance

i have a jvc mg130 .. but i lost the bundled software....

if any one has any idea where i can download the softwares . plz .. HELP ME ..

on another note .. the softwares arent exactly that important, all i want them for is to create dvd-playable dvd's quickly ... i never tried with the bundled software but i think it burns the video in the compatible mode without converting it into another format ... if u can suggest any other software which can do that.
that is . . burn the dvd without converting the video to another format .. by that i mean not taking hours upon hours to convert the video ..

Help will be really appreciated ...

I have read the reports concerning MPEG-2 and editing.
As i'm sad of this, as I am, (Was) a Proud owner of One.

I was recomended to this site,

I have a sony DVD Direct Multi function Recorder VRD-MC3
For the purpose of transferring data to DVD from The HDD JVC Camcorder

My Qustion was, with the camera in the (Play) position, when I try to attemt to burn the Media by
selecting, HDD/DVD Camcorder to DVD
from the menu screen on the DVDirect Recorder it proceedes with a message of:
Non supported USB device found Connect supported Camcorder.

All The specs for this to be accoplished between the 2 are good. My JVC manual gives no info to down loading tips.

ANSWER: I found my Answer Only the Sony HDD camcorders Are compatible to use the Burn function, all other HDD Manufactures Will Not work in DVD Burn function, Only in Normal Real time Video Recording will it work. Hence the error message "Connect supported Camcorder" which would be SONY HDD.

The DVD direct has a number of uses and functions as a stand alone DVD burner, Memory cards, dv, Also any other real time recording through s-Video, or analog. But it puts it all in MPEG-2 Video Encoding.

I hope my question and answer might help somone .

Well the above will reach me tomorrow and as this is my first camcorder im pretty excited about getting to grips with it. Im not going to ask if you all think ive made the right choice as there is no going back now !. I spent along time deciding on what to buy but the HDD concept kept winning any argument despite the Mini-DV having the better video quality. I have a couple of questions i would like to ask everyone...........

1. As a complete newbie to video recording what would be the best user friendly software to edit with.

2. Any basic tips on how to get better results with the camera when in manual mode, especially in low light conditions as i read that most (if not all) cameras suffer to varying degree's in this area.

3. For present owners of the MG 505 are there any specific do's/dont's associated with my new toy i should look out for.

Any info much apprecited folks :D

I'm new to this, have never owned a camcorder before, so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I've just bought a JVC Everio GZMG21. While I appreciate that all the information (zoom, battery strength, image quality, etc) on the display is crucial when recording, I'd prefer it to not be on the actual recording. When I'm watching my film in a year's time, will I actually care what the battery strength was when I recorded it?

Having read the manual, such as it is, I couldn't see any setting which would stop this information from being recorded onto the film. Am I missing something? I would have thought that this was a fairly basic requirement?

So, there's my (first) question - how do I tell my JVC Everio GZMG21 to just record the video, and not overlay any of the diagnostic information on top?

Thanks.
