Who the heck am I?
Some thirty years ago in a small town in northern California, my mom and dad gave me the name Charlie, and my dad brought the name Fulton to the table. I’m actually a junior, because they are arguably unoriginal that way (and I guarantee that none of my kids will be CF the 3rd.)
When I was a pup, I would frequently wake up, go into the front room and turn on the TV to the local PBS member station to see that they hadn’t signed on yet (my goal at that time was to watch Sesame Street.) So I have had the SMPTE color bar pattern burned into my retinas for longer than even I can believe. My mom says that this is probably how I got so interested in the media, with a groan in her voice (because she still sleeps longer and more soundly than I do.)
I was raised in another small town in Northern California. I don’t feel like I fit in very well to this very agrarian community, though I’ve made some great friends there. But I made sure to use my first opportunity to move across the river to Chico, where I’ve been for the past seven years.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design with an option in Media Arts from California State University, Chico in 2000.
I am married to the most wonderful and amazing woman in the world, and we have the most beautiful daughter in the world.
