Is ther a posting that explains how the new forums are supposed to work?   When I go to the recent topics I see some things at the top that appear to be older than some farther down.  I also see some that say 2 new posts or what ever number and I look and I have seen all of the posts.  So what is that supposed to mean?

Thanks for the info.  I know there are some growing pains with the new system.

Cville I know you are an old timer here, but check out how spammers had invaded your forum thread. Since the change to the updated website spammers had spam the forums like never before.

(For you question) What I do is click "VIEW ALL RECENT TOPICS" in the forums page which is after the supposely recent topics. When you click that you will be able to see the topics cronologically.

Cville, I've not yet noticed anything like that on the forums, but if it doesn't happen soon I will attempt to determine as many of these elements as I can and implement some kind of guidance system. Don't give up, guys. We're gonna have to persevere and conquer. :-)

Thanks Earl. I know you put a lot of time on the forum.

Cool, works like a charm. Guess we'll get the hang of all the changes and MAKE it user friendly!

Took a moment to figure out how to get rid of spam posts. Knocked out at least 4 since Friday....

Hi, Guys... thanks for hanging with us as we get this worked out. I killed a huge collection of comments this morning from the weekend myself...

 Administrators can delete the comments in the "comments" section of the "content" pull-down. Even better is to delete the users. I deleted the two new users that generated these spams.  This user - zerrancebra had about 40 spam comments over the weekend.

This user - beveimmitaMig had five.

Again - thanks for helping us work this out.

Jennifer

Hey, Cville, I know cute avatars are cool, but what I really, REALLY like is seeing what people REALLY look like, like that gorgeous bombshell VideoChick otherwise known as Jennifer. :-)

Hey, guys... One of the spammers I deleted yesterday came back, so Mike says to block them rather than delete their account - they'll just make another. I had to delete his spam first then block him.

Hello Jennifer, you mention deleting and blocking. I'm aware of the process using the new forum setup for getting rid of the post completely, but is "blocking" something that administration has to perform, or if moderators are allowed this action, how do we do it? I couldn't identify that ability however I tried.

@Qaivon

You have to verify your email address before you can post a new topic. However, I see that you have verified it, so you might want to give it another shot. To post, go to a specific forum and look for the "Add new forum topic" button at the top right of the page.
