It's time to submit your tapes for the 17th Annual Videomaker/Panasonic Short Video Contest.
It's time to submit your tapes for the 17h Annual Videomaker/Panasonic Short Video Contest. Once again, we have a great set of prizes to present to our winners, but you have to play to win.
Whether you are the maestro of music videos, concoct crazy comedies or direct dynamic documentaries, we encourage you to send us your best. We don't care if this is the first video you've ever shot or just the most recent in a long series stretching back to the silent era, if you're proud of your production, show it to us. As long as your submission is five minutes in length or less, and was produced with consumer equipment, it qualifies.
The Grand Prize is a Panasonic PV-GS70 Camcorder, valued at $999. In addition, we have awards slated for Best Music Video, Best Drama/Action, Best Comedy and Best Documentary. And, we will offer a bonus award for submissions sent on DVD-Video.
To enter, fill out the entry form and send it along with your best short. But hurry! We must receive your entry by September 30, 2003. Please read the Entry Guidelines carefully and follow all instructions (especially concerning acceptable tape formats).
Our team of judges will evaluate each entry for content and creativity, technical proficiency in camera work, lighting, sound, edit pacing and overall production quality. (See the Judging Criteria sidebar for details.)
We'll announce the winners in a future issue of Videomaker, and we'll post all winning videos to Videomaker's Web site. Who knows, maybe this year's article will be about you.
