MotionVFX mFlare

mflare-plug-in

mFlare is an advanced multi-platform plugin for creating and designing realistic looking lens flare effects for your video projects.

Images taken with the sun in the view or other bright sources of light creates bright spots and rainbow coloured rings in the picture. These aberrations are known as lens flares. Flare introduces a sense of realism in the picture and makes it look more lifelike. For this very reason, video editors desire the introduction of flare into an otherwise dull scene. Computer generated images are also modified by introducing flare into them to add a sense of reality and perspective.

As the name implies, mflare allows the user to add flare to an image. It is a plug-in for the FCPX (Final Cut Pro X) & Motion 5 post production audio/video editing applications for Mac computers.

What is lens flare?

When light from a bright source such as the sun or bright lamps falls on the lens, the rays get scattered in lens system. This causes the entire image to become bright, lose colour intensity and the image appear faded.
