Sony NEX-FS100

Panasonic HDC-TM40
Big on low price and compact size, the HDC-TM40 is a very capable camera. Its ability to shoot full 1920x1080 HD onto a 16GB built-in flash drive and up to 64GB SDHC/SDXC media card, with 16.8x Optical Zoom, POWER Optical Image Stabilization, and all at an affordable price make the Panasonic HDC-TM40 a worthy recipient of Videomaker's Best Consumer Camcorder award.

Canon XF300

BEST Interchangeable Lens Camcorder

Panasonic AG-AF100
Built for the professional, the AF100 has an abundance of features and manual adjustments galore. Embracing the Micro Four Thirds standard, its image sensor is near in size to that of 35mm film cameras. A standardized lens mount and specially designed interchangeable lenses complete the standard. In addition to Micro Four Thirds lenses, numerous other lens types may be used with the appropriate adapters. Nikon D7000
The Nikon D7000 produces extremely high quality still photos and for the video shooter. It includes a variety of exposure modes and external buttons for things like ISO adjustments, exposure, focus and white balance. Shoot photos and video in Live Mode without having to constantly switch back and forth between the two. A nice touch is the built-in intervalometer for capturing high-resolution timelapses. Built for the professional desiring a shallow depth of field, great low light performance and affordability, the Nikon's D7000 is this year's choice for Videomaker's Best DSLR.
