Canon HDV Camcorders | Sony 8cm DVD+R dual-layer media
Sony has announced 8cm DVD+R dual-layer media to coincide with the launch of its HDR-UX1 AVCHD camcorder. Discs can record 45 minutes of AVCHD video, are dust- and fingerprint-resistant and are said to be 100 times more scratch-resistant than standard DVDs.

Canon's new XH A1 is a 3CCD camcorder with a 20X optical zoom lens, optical image stabilization, Instant AF (auto focus) and DIGIC DV II HD image processor. The XH G1 adds an HD-SDI out, SD-SDI and SMPTE time code in/out and genlock inputs.
