HP should be shipping its new workstations soon after you read this. The HP xw8400 Workstation features a dual processor, dual- core Intel Xeon heart inside of HP's easy-to-service case. Hard drive bays offer expandability while a 1333MHz system bus should keep tasks timely. The 64-bit system is available with Microsoft Windows XP Professional, x64 Professional, or Red Hat Linux OS.

No, it's not a keyboard with an "cockpit eject" button on it, but you may jump out of your seat anyway. The PDA-sized device will to add direct-to-disk recording functionality to any USB 2.0 drive. Using its built-in rechargeable battery and FireWire port, the Catapult adds pre-roll, time lapse, and remote trigger features currently available to the direct-to-disk market. The Catapult is Windows and Mac compatible.
