Matthew York

I am sure that many of you read Videomaker in part to explore and probe the possibilities of an active plan to change your vocation. For so many reasons, from family needs to financial and job security, only a few times in our lives do many of us get the privilege to seriously consider a change in career path. While some folks find themselves trapped on a treadmill in the proverbial rat race, some of us dream of a better tomorrow.

Video production is a compelling pursuit. Unlike many jobs, it allows us to use our creativity, expand our minds, and delve into a world so few know anything about. From writing the storyline, setting the scene, framing the shots, and directing the on-camera talent to making hundreds or thousands of edit decisions, video production is packed with opportunities to express our creativity.
