Knowitallvideo.com is a video portal site that is dedicated to sharing ideas with video. The company's goal is to create a repository of information in a wide array of categories, from food, technology, animals, hobbies, health, and videography to animation, performances, rants and video resumes. Video can be freely uploaded as long as it could not be considered indecent, is less than 4MB and has a run time of less than 4 minutes. Viewers of videos can provide feedback to video creators through the system. Thousands of videos are currently available on the site.
Update: Dreamer: The Movie Makes it to the Big Screen
Dreamer: The Movie (originally profiled in Quick Focus, Videomaker, June 2002) made its premiere on January 1 in the 700-seat Ionia Theater in Ionia, MI. QuickTime trailers of the completed picture are available at www.dreamerthemovie.com. The Web site also includes trivia and a photo gallery.
ManiaTV! currently has a call for entries for "The World's First Live Film Festival." Categories include fan films, independent films, live action shorts, animated shorts and commercial spoofs. Footage can be submitted via www.withoutabox.com. The deadline for submissions is February 8, and the festival runs from March 7-15. Winners will be chosen on March 17.
