The Videomaker Online Store shopping cart employs JavaScript and cookies to keep track of your order and process forms correctly. You must have your browser set to accept cookies in order to use the Videomaker Online Store. You can do this in the "Advanced" section of your browser's Preferences. Although cookies have a bad reputation with some web users, we do not employ cookies for saving personal information. If you would like to learn more about how Videomaker uses cookies, click here.
JavaScript is an amazing web technology and adds many functions to our store which would not be possible otherwise. This store has been tested on every possible browser on multiple platforms across many versions to ensure the greatest level of compatibility. It works best with Netscape Navigator 4.08 using default settings. If you run into any errors while using our Online Store, please contact me (webmaster@videomaker.com) as soon as possible so that they can be resolved. Include as many details of the error as possible.
Videomaker Magazine ensures your privacy and the security of your personal information when ordering from us by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. If you are using a browser which supports SSL, when you go to the checkout form you will be entering a secure environment. Any information you provide there, including your credit card number, will be encrypted before it is sent to our servers.
Problems? Videomaker uses a Thawte digital certificate for SSL encryption. Although Thawte certificates are considered the best when it comes to browser security and Y2K compliance, they do sometimes have compatibility issues with older browsers. If you are using an older browser (IE 3.0 or older, Netscape 3.0 or older), you may receive a message similar to the one below:
"www.videomaker.com is a site that uses encryption to protect transmitted information. However one of the Certificate Authorities that identifies this site has expired..."
Our certificate has not expired. Your browser simply needs to be upgraded. If you plan on continuing to use this older browser, go to the following web address for information on how to upgrade its security features: http://www.thawte.com/certs/server/rollover.html
We have tested the upgrade procedure on several older browsers, and it's extremely easy. This should only take less than a minute to do. We are sorry for the trouble it's caused you, but hopefully it will make your transactions more secure in the future. If you have any other concerns, email the webmaster.
